Lebanon and Marion County is home to a variety of government and non-profit organizations that contribute significantly to the development of an environment where effective economic development occurs. Some of the many services offered in our community include: career services and unemployment benefits administration, emergency services, employment services, energy, environmental protection, family advocacy, Head Start, healthcare, home energy, judicial court system, nutritional resources, public transportation, parks and recreation, public education and training, social services, senior citizen support and programming, telecommunications, planning and development, transportation planning and development, waste management and recycling, water and sewer, and business and industry financial and technical assistance.
Central Kentucky Community Action Council is a private, non-profit serving an 8-county region with a population of almost 275,000 residents. Their focus is to provide programs that advance social and economic change and growth for low-income citizens.
Lebanon Senior Citizens Center is 1 of 15 Senior Centers throughout the Lincoln Trail service area. Senior centers offer education, health promotion, outreach services, socialization, and games.
