Technical Operator

Position Summary: As a Technical Operator, you will be responsible for the set-up and high-quality running of printing and converting machines at an optimum speed without supervision. The position follows standard work methods, established food safety standards, quality standards and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

The position starts out as M – F; 8-hour first shift for training (approx. 2 months). The position will soon after transition to a 12-hour rotating shift.

Other Duties:  All employees must comply with all company policies including but not limited to those outlined in the Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Safe Quality Foods documents.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in our climate-controlled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration and equipment noise leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents and heights.

Physical Demands: The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days, nights and hours may vary depending on assigned shift and productions requirements.  This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle or customer volume of business.

Travel: Should not be required.

Licenses and Certifications: None.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
