Marion County Economic Development loves to celebrate our local industries!
Each year in February at the Chamber Banquet, and in October, during Manufacturing month, we look forward to welcoming industry and business leaders from across the county to join us for a meal and celebration as awards are given for outstanding achievements right here… in the Heart of Kentucky.
Marion County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet - Februray
Downtown Development Award (Formerly Lebanon Main Street Award)
Award to be given at the Marion County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet
Criteria: The business must be located within the boundaries of Harrison Street to College Street and from Mulberry Street to Hood Avenue. The business must show pride in the appearance of their downtown building and be a major contributor to the vitality of the downtown area. The nominee can come from any facet of business activity and must currently be active in community affairs.
All nomination forms are due by 5:00pm Eastern Time on Friday, February 6, 2026. No late submissions accepted. The Marion County Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Please contact the Chamber (270-692-9594) for tickets.
Marion County Economic Development Industry Appreciation Awards - October
Our Awards include:
Entrepreneur of the Year Award
Criteria: An Entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, usually with considerable initiative and risk. An Entrepreneur has the following qualities: entrepreneurial spirit, financial performance, strategic direction, community impact, innovation, and personal integrity. This recognition is intended for businesses that have been in operation for no longer than 5 years.
Small Business of the Year
Criteria: small business with less than 50 employees within any industry that has been operational in Marion County for at least 5 years. This business should offer high quality products or services and demonstrate success in the following categories: overall business and growth, community involvement and contribution, response to business challenges, and use of sound business practices and strategies.
Industry of the Year
Criteria: small, mid-size or large company within any industry that demonstrates success in the following categories: overall business and growth, community involvement and contribution, response to business challenges, and use of sound business practices and strategies.
