Stamping Press Operator
Sets up operates stamping presses to trim, punch, shape, notch, draw, or crimp metal by performing the following duties. Presses can be either tandem, progressive with this position.

Must be familiar with press operations.
Must have previous press operator experience (ie: actually operationg a press).
Assembles, installs, and aligns dies in press according to specifications working with die setters and or maintenance personnel.
Set up and place coil on mandrel.
Adjust coil and run through feeder
Starts press and observes operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
Runs strip trhough the die.
Sets ram height, progression lengths and speeds
Inspects wo;rk pieces for conformance to specifications and adjust machine to correct errors including first piece.
Cleans and lubricates machines.
Catches, paks, and inspects parts.
Operate quality Gages.
Fill out lot tags, production reports and die maintenance control forms.
Reports any probelms to Supervisor and or qulaity
Be able to indentify all dies and part numbers for all presses.
Be able to identify all coil labels to match die numbers for all presses
Be able to band unfinished coils on all presses
