SUMMARY: Properly sets up and operates production equipment.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor and record raw material lot numbers
• Perform line equipment set-up for desired production
• Ensure proper fill weight for all product is maintained on autofill lines
• Perform process monitoring, (metal detector, weigh checks, code dates, barcode checks) to ensure product quality
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Operate material handling equipment
• Conduct daily sanitation of work areas and observe “Good Manufacturing Practices”
• Work independently and continuously to meet deadlines
• Report food safety issues promptly to Supervisor or QA personnel
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
• Observe all R.L. Schreiber, Inc. safety policy
• Other duties as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Two to Three years’ experience in food or other manufacturing.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, and stand for 10 hours on hard surfaces.
• Able to work in a dusty, wet environment, and work in assorted temperatures from ambient to air-conditioned.
• Fast-paced manual labor and operation of some machines
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Communicate in English both orally and written.
• Basic math
