Crop Production Team Member

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Crop Production Team Member at Peterson Farms your primary responsibility will be to assist the Operations team in tasks related to land management and production practices of corn, soybeans, wheat and industrial hemp. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: – Maintenance and repair of equipment and operating facilities – Field equipment operation including use of on-board computing systems – Tractor-trailer operation related to logistics of grain and agricultural inputs

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associates Degree in Agriculture preferred, but not required. Must be able to obtain a medical card required for operation of tractor-trailers. Possession of CDL is a plus. Agronomy and Technology – Demonstrate a general knowledge of agronomic management practices as well as willingness to learn and ability to use the technology associated with modern equipment and record keeping. Mechanical – Knowledge of mechanical operation of agricultural equipment including routine maintenance and repair. Communication – Effective oral and written communication with colleagues and with management including the ability to develop a productive and cooperative relationship with others. Flexibility – Ability to adapt based on changing circumstances.

EXPERIENCE

3-5 years of production agricultural experience required. On-farm or ag-retail experience preferred.

COMPENSATION

Wage or salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
