Under the general supervision of the Vice President of

Engineering and Operations, this position has the responsibility

to: Direct the activities and personnel of the Engineering

Department, including Staking Engineers,

Engineering Service Coordinator, Mapping

Technician, Meter Technician, and Engineering Line

Technician to ensure that the cooperative provides

safe and efficient services to its members.

  • Develop and Direct the construction work plans and

daily work projects to ensure the quality and

efficiency of the distribution facilities provides the

safest, most efficient, and reliable delivery of service

consistent with the mission statement of the


  • Research and implement new technologies that

improve the efficiencies of the department and

improves the overall service provided to the


  • Monitor operations and engineering practices to

ensure compliance with the Kentucky Public Service

Commission, RUS, OSHA, and other Federal, State,

and Local rules and regulations

  • Other responsibilities include, Outage Management

System, Staking and Mapping software, Construction

Standards, System Integration of Mobile Work Force

system, AMI, SCADA, GIS, AVL, and other related

engineering and operations-based technologies.


B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with five years or more

experience and a Professional Engineer’s License preferred.


Usual Office conditions with nominal amount of field work and regular travel throughout the distribution system.  Work outside normal hours, emergency work and occasional overnight travel.  Must have a valid driver’s license and live within 45 minutes of

driving time of headquarters.
