Role and Responsibilities

·         Use WMS tablet scanners to move needed raw and packaging materials to blending and packaging work centers

·         Put-away partials of raw material sent back from blending & packaging

·         Use WMS tablet scanners to move inventory items from one location to another

·         Insures “First Expired First Out” raw material rotation using barcodes and lots

·         Observe “Good Manufacturing Practices

·         Operate power equipment to move materials as needed

·         Conduct daily cycle counts as directed by the Group Leader

·         Work with receiving department to unload, and put-away received items

·         Maintain assigned equipment in good working order

·         Report food safety issues promptly to Supervisor or QA personnel

·         Observe all R.L. Schreiber, Inc. safety policies

·         Work independently to meet production requirements

·         Assist with quarterly inventory counts

·         Other duties as assigned

work experience Requirements

·         Minimum five (5) years in the food or other manufacturing environment.

·         Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

·         Climb stairs and/or ladders

·         Walk, stand, and/or operate equipment for 8 hours or more on hard surfaces.

·         Able to work in dusty or wet conditions

·         Fast-paced production situation, supplying raw and packaging materials and receiving finished goods within the department and warehouse

education requirements

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Strong communication skills in English both orally and written.

Preferred Skills

·         Experience with barcodes and Radio Frequency Scanners

·         Good Manufacturing Practices

·         Experience with electrics sit down or stand up forklift and manual pallet jack
