Quality Supervisor

Department: 004050 – QA/QC Interior/Exterior Products
Location: Lebanon, KY
Shift: 2nd Shift (2pm-10:30pm)

SUMMARY

The function of the Quality Supervisor is to supervise measuring, testing and inspection processes on floor, schedule work and troubleshoot any abnormalities. The Supervisor also communicates effectively for overall safety and morale of team members and the basic understanding of producing quality parts that meet delivery requirements.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / CRITERIA: (EDUCATION LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, DIMENSIONS, ETC.)

  • Previous Supervisor or Team Leader experience required preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Respond to abnormal situations & solve problems understanding QCD
  • Basic knowledge of TPS
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Excellent Problem Solving/Decision Making Skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple tasks
  • Overtime as needed

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Coordinates customer complaints and sort activities
  2. Plans work, makes assignments and trains new employees.
  3. Maintain lab equipment and supplies.
  4. Coordinate gauge calibration system.
  5. Create / Maintain work instructions.
  6. Issues SCAR and ECAR’s as necessary.
  7. Respond to ACAR’s as needed.
  8. Work with QA to complete tests that are required for customer approval.
  9. Motivate employees and resolve conflict.
  10. Evaluate employees’ performance.
  11. Aid in continuous improvement processes.
  12. Oversee trials of new parts.
  13. Assist manager as necessary to accomplish all goals and missions of the department.
  14. Coach and counsel team members on various aspects of their duties.
  15. Issue corrective action (discipline) to employees as appropriate.

KEY JOB DUTIES

  • Off Shift
  • Follow company rules and policies
  • Communicate to other departments to achieve the target/goal (Hoshin) performing PDCA & problem-solving method
  • Daily monitoring of attendance, approval/disapproval of PPL, EV, etc, and planning or reacting to absenteeism
  • Train Team Leaders, Lead Operators and Team Members
  • Lead Kaizen activities
  • Countermeasure activities
  • Kanban calculations
  • Prepare and Conduct Beginning Shift Meetings

 

Salary Range: $60,000+ (Depending on experience)
