SUMMARY
The Quality Engineer (QA) oversees program launch activity relating to part quality. Confirms that processes are set up to produce parts that meet or exceed customer part quality expectations.

Experience / education in preparing PPAP or other ISO/TS documentation.
Ability to develop good working relationships with customers.Knowledge and ability to do SPC studies
Ability to problem solve – 5 why, Willing to travel up to 20% of time (domestic and international)<p “margin-left:=”” .5in”=””><span “:=”” “=””>Experience / education in preparing PPAP EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEBS degree in engineering or technical-related discipline, 2 year or more of Quality or Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment or <s combination of education and experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Clear, concise written and verbal skills
Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively in a group setting.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Computer proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel.
Proficient in using SPC software such as Minitab, etc.
Ability to read and interpret part drawings (blueprints) including GD&T principals.
<span “:=”” “=””>Ability to “problem-solve” using 5-why and other methodologies.
<span “:=”” “=””>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform high level mathematical calculations and to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
>Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS
>This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
