*Job Summary*

We are seeking a friendly, dedicated, and experienced Medical Assistant with an exceptional personal and professional work ethic, caring personality, and strong sense of integrity.

The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care, urgent care, outpatient settings, and an understanding of patient care systems.

*Responsibilities*

– Provide compassionate care

– Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures

– Perform basic medical tasks including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering medications

– Document and maintain accurate and detailed patient records

– Perform venipuncture and EKG testing

– Ability to administer vaccines, TB tests, intramuscular injections

– Competence at performing UTI, flu, covid, RSV screenings and other diagnostic procedures as needed

– Provide support in a fast-paced environment; stay calm under pressure

– Utilize anatomy knowledge to assist with patient care

– Clean and prepare exam rooms between clients

– Self directed with ability to work independently

– Check patients in and out of office when needed

– Answer phones and return patient phone calls

– Other duties as assigned

*Experience*

– Previous experience working in a clinic or urgent care setting is preferred

– Certification preferred

– Familiarity with medical coding and patient care systems is a plus

– Ability to utilize Electronic Medical Record

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 – $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
