- Responsible for the recruitment of hourly team members while ensuring compliance with all State/Federal employment laws. (advertisements, interviews, pre-employment screening, orientation)
- Oversee all employment/benefit paperwork and create/maintain proper filing system in compliance with HIPAA and other legal requirements. (Files include: applicant, active/inactive employee, worker’s comp, benefit, HIPPA, temporary agency)
- Conduct new hire orientation which includes completion of all required paper work and the explanation of policies/benefits.
- Track team member seniority to help ensure team member benefits are submitted to carriers on a timely manner, team member PPL balances are accruing properly, 30/60/90 day reviews are available for managers at appropriate time, and wage progressions are entered at appropriate time.
- Maintain an updated active employee list (including temps) and place in department EAP books.
- Make preparations for VIP guests and prepare materials and order food for all employee/visitor meetings as required.
- Research training reimbursement programs and track team member training for submittal for reimbursement to these programs.
- Log all PPL incidents on attendance calendar and notify manager when action level is reached. Also ensure all time missed for salaried/hourly has a completed PPL form.
- Monitor attendance records on regular basis to ensure all time card entries are complete in preparation for bi-weekly payroll processing. Process bi-weekly salaried/hourly payroll and ensure proper upload to Paycom. Audit bi-weekly Paycom payroll documentation and adjust as needed.
- Input HR requisitions into JDE for approval process (ex. flowers, supplies, cards)
- Assist managers/supervisors in resolving employee issues when HR Manager is occupied or unavailable. .
- Assist Executives as needed (translation, travel plans, visitors, reports, etc)
- Support company in QCD efforts to achieve our company goals.
- Support operations in providing a safe work environment ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements and proper 5S are met and followed in pursuit of company goal of 0 accidents.
- Support operations in maintaining compliance with laws and regulations as relates to employment, safety, environmental, etc.
- Promote positive work environment/good morale through proper 5C
- Support ISO 14001 activities as required
- Perform other related duties as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least an AA degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- At least 1 to 2 years of payroll processing experience preferred
- At least 1 to 2 years of benefit administration preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate a collaborative work style with other departments
- Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
