Job Title: Grounds Keeper

Job Summary:
The Grounds Keeper maintains landscapes and outdoor facilities by performing routine lawn care, landscaping, maintenance, and cleanup tasks. The role helps ensure that grounds are attractive, safe, and well-maintained for visitors, employees, residents, or customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Mow lawns and trim grass, shrubs, and hedges.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and care for flowers, trees, and landscaping.
• Remove weeds, leaves, debris, and litter from grounds.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and tractors.
• Apply pesticides and fertilizers according to safety guidelines.
• Maintain irrigation and sprinkler systems.
• Repair fences, walkways, benches, and other outdoor fixtures as needed.
• Prepare grounds for seasonal changes, including snow removal and leaf collection.
• Inspect grounds regularly and report safety hazards or maintenance issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (often preferred).
• Experience in landscaping, lawn care, or grounds maintenance is beneficial.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.
• Knowledge of plants, fertilizers, and basic irrigation systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
