The Job:

Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities listed below, we are looking for a leader that can drive results by creating accountability through effective communication, strong decision-making and a focus on development planning. This role will give you the unique opportunity to build the team you will be responsible for leading. You will report directly to the General Manager and work daily with ownership to set goals, create strategies and allocate resources that will ensure success across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and manage key performance indicators for all aspects of the whiskey making process

· Manage key relationships to secure timely delivery of all incoming grains and yeast and the timely pick-up of all distillery byproducts

· Build and develop the team with defined roles and clarity of expectations (direct reports consist of 3 team leads)

· Work cross-functionally with other members of the leadership team to allocate the appropriate resources needed by the team to effectively do their job

· Ensure safety is a priority by holding team members accountable to the safety procedures established by the organization

· Assist in departmental budgets, monitoring expenses and implementing cost-control measures

· Prioritize quality by overseeing sensory evaluations of grains, fermenting beer, distillate and aged product

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent years of work-related experience

· Minimum of 5 years distilled spirits experience with significant management and leadership experience in an operational and/or specialist environment

· Proficient computer skills with experience utilizing electronic mail software, time accounting software, project management software, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PLC applications

· Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
