  Summary

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) provides efficient, professional, and quality service to Peoples Bank customers through the handling of various counter transactions.  Responsibilities involve a wide range of duties related to customer accounts, including paying and receiving cash and other negotiable instruments.  The CSR will have the opportunity to develop skills in building relationships with customers and to also learn about the different areas of banking.  This position will be available to work periodically on Saturday mornings.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. 

  • Receives deposits, verifies cash and endorsements, and issues receipts.
  • Cashes checks and pays out money upon verification of identification and customer balances.
  • Opens deposit accounts to include checking accounts, savings accounts, CD’s, etc.
  • Accurately processes withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
  • Assists with opening and closing the branch, including balancing the cash vault.
  • Assists with night drop verification and processing.
  • Assists with ATM processing.
  • Files customer and bank documentation.
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality with regard to customer and Peoples Bank information.
  • Complies with Peoples Bank policies and procedures.
  • Works cooperatively with all Peoples Bank employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (speaking and writing) skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Professional in conduct and appearance.

 Required Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous cash handling, clerical, and/or customer service experience.

 Other Requirements
