JOB DESCRIPTION for Bookkeeping Position

Accounts Receivables

  • Enter orders from customer PO’s
  • Prepare shipping documents for orders, pull flooring tallies
  • Invoice for Shipments
  • reports requested
  • Maintain customers as needed

Accounts Payable

  • Lumber invoices
  • Medical/ life insurance premiums
  • Maintain and pay Salesman commission
  • Maintain vendors as needed

Inventory

  • Maintain pricing, print new price list
  • Make additions or deletions
  • Value EOM inventory for financials
  • reports

General Ledger

  • Maintain account, add or delete
  • End of Year entries from accountant
  • EOM financial reports to management
  • Bank reconcilements

 

Human Resources

  • New Hires Enrollments
  • Payroll-Qtrly Reports, Annual Reports, etc
  • Medical and Life Insurance Enrollments & Cancelations, billings
  • Work Comp Claims
  • Vacation Tracking and Absentee Tracking
  • Maintain employee personal info as needed

Lumber Inventory System

  • Receiving and paying of lumber invoices, tracking against purchase orders
  • Unstacking and printing new tags
  • Kilns, filling and unloading
  • lumber reports
  • End of month Inventory
  • Prepare any shipment of lumber sold

 

Sage Accounting System

  • Maintain server with upgrades and tax updates

 

General Office

  • Answer phones and wait on customers
  • Anything that is needed on daily basis

 

Enviromental

  • Semi annual and annual reporting for Air Quality and Storm Water

 

Trucks

  • Quarterly tracking of mileage and bulk fuel for road trucks
