Key Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System
  • Reduce the impact of the Cost of Poor Quality on the facility
  • Implement actions to prevent recurrence of issues
  • Ensure that quality requirements are communicated and known in the organization
  • Drive customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a high level of process and product quality in the facility
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing and quality

Qualifications/Requirements

  • A.A.S. in an engineering discipline or 10+ years experience with motors is required
  • Background in Quality Assurance to include: Root Cause Analysis, Development and Implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions, and Procedure Development is required.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and SAP or similar business software is desired.

Strong communication skills with the ability to create and present failure analysis reports to management is a must.

Predominant Tasks

  • Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions for observed nonconformities.
  • Create and/or modify quality procedures as needed.
  • Develop and administer training of new employees on products and processes.
  • Conduct and lead internal ISO audits
  • Work with the registrar to successfully complete ISO surveillance and recertification audits.
  • Insure that employees are compliant to established procedures and processes.
  • Communicate quality requirements in new employee orientations, job talks and other venues.
  • Manage the calibration system
  • Collect / analyze defect data and implement corrective measures.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing and supplier quality to determine root cause of issues
  • Develop and conduct training for facility departments
