Motor Repair Technician

2nd Shift  3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Electric Motor Repair Technician
(Start on 1st shift for on-the-job-training 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
Must meet with Melissa Young/WIOA Career Advisor for ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (270) 692-6870

Job Description and requirements: 

  • Disassemble, and inspect AC and DC electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and more
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose the repairs that need to be made, and the parts required for the repairs
  • Perform incoming and outbound testing including meg ohm, surge test, and test running the motors
  • Troubleshooting, assembly, and test running repaired equipment
  • Ability to operate overhead hoists and drive a forklift
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Attention to detail
  • Follow all safety procedures
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
  • Computer entry skills a plus
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check
  • Ability to provide your own tools
  • Starting pay depends on experience
  • Entry level available with on-the-job training – mechanical experience preferred.
