I.                    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manually or mechanically move, store, receive and issue material, supplies, and finished goods.

Responsible for storage, receipt, issue and delivery of raw material and ship finished goods to the customer.

Maintain inventory accuracy.  (Understand KANBAN)

Use of manual and automated equipment to manage inventory.

Responsible that all product is properly stored and can be correctly located.

Stack skids or pallets in designated area and clean up and dispose of scrap materials in warehouse area.

Operate automatic skid wrapper and load trucks.

Manually load raw material and finished goods on pallet or skid.

Pull parts and inspect for shipment.

Remove debris and old bar-codes from returnable.

Report all warehouse discrepancy’s to supervisor.

Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.

Perform before, during and after operation maintenance checks on equipment, including changing

batteries on equipment if needed.  Report any maintenance issues to supervisor.

Observe all safety requirements and maintain work area.

Follow and carry out all warehouse procedures and be able to perform all jobs in the warehouse.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Strongly Preferred.

Must be properly trained and certified to operate tow motors.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

IV.                PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Light to medium physical demand level.

Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Squatting, kneeling or crouching may be required when inspecting product.

Twisting of the body or neck may be required on an occasional basis.

Frequent lifting is required of a light to medium level.  Although such loads are not typical, you should be able to safely lift, push or pull a maximum of forty pounds.  Loads larger than 40 lbs. should be handled by other means.

Bends occasionally over machines, conveyer belts and when picking up supplies or products from low levels.

Repetitive large hand and arm movements may occasionally be required for some tasks.

Driving is required.

Mental activities necessary include manufacturing knowledge, tow motor operation and other practical and problem-solving skills.   Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities; or determining time, costs, resources, or materials needed to perform a work activity.  Also compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

PPE – Safety Eye Wear, Cutting Gloves when using a knife, seat belt when on tow motor.

Work Environment – indoors in plastic manufacturing factory.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.  The employee is sometimes exposed to moving mechanical parts and frequently operators a tow motor.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

*Due to the factory not being climate controlled, extreme heat is experienced in the summer months and due to shippers working next to dock doors and loading and unloading trucks they may also experience extreme cold in the winter months.
