ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  1. Directs the maintenance and operations of various equipment controls systems to ensure uninterrupted service. Covered systems may include electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other machine control systems.
  2. Conducts analysis and maintenance as required for assembly, injection, and other production related equipment.
  3. Lead and support Kaizen activities on production related equipment.
  4. Suggests, plans, and oversees equipment needs and acquisition to maximize efficiency and return.
  5. Oversees and plans the layout of electrical and mechanical equipment; recommends and implements modifications.
  6. Coordinates work performed by outside contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
  7. Facilitates proper maintenance of all parts and areas of the manufacturing processes.
  8. Coordinate and track long lead-time projects for improvements and repairs.
  9. Support in creating and updating department documentation.
  10. Assists/trains new members on chronic or emergency down time issues and proper equipment diagnostics/repairs.
  11. Evaluates jobs in process and on completion to ensure products meet safety and work quality expectations.
  12. Maintain awareness and understand the roles and responsibilities regarding the environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets by attending the required training. Perform all tasks in accordance with the EMS procedures and practices and minimize the impact of their activities on the environment.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Extensive experience in Equipment control systems including Robots, PLCs, Drives, Servos, Actuators, etc. Thorough knowledge of equipment controls circuits, PLC programming, pneumatic circuits, hydraulic circuits, and mechanical systems.

 

Excellent problem solving skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to use shop tools/equipment

 

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates degree, certifications, or equivalent work experience in at least one or more fields: Electrical/ machine Maintenance, Controls, PLC, or Robotics.

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Clear, concise written and verbal skills and problem solving skills required. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of team members.

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Experience using Microsoft office systems, Excel and Word a plus.

Experience using JD Edwards a plus

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Apply basic math functions to solve workplace problems, calculate percentage, rate, ratio, decimal and proportion, create and interpret basic graphs and charts commonly used in manufacturing, calculate rate, ratio, decimal and proportion, calculate rotational velocity equations (RPMs), calculate speeds, feeds, and horsepower requirements for machining.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

 

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED WORK HOURS

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional overtime throughout the week and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Salary Range

$75,000-$112,000 Per Year
